DRC Diamond
Democratic Repulblic of the Congo

D.R.C. Diamond Project (option to earn a 50% interest in certain DRC exploration licenses held by African Minerals (Barbados) Ltd SPRL). Ground geophysical work and geochemical sampling carried out by Motapa in September and October has resulted in the identification of a number of high priority targets for drill testing in the coming year.

Kavango Diamond
Namibia

Kavango Diamond Project, 10 licences, 8,363 km2 (49% interest; joint venture with Namdeb Diamond Corporation, which can earn up to a 65% interest). Reverse circulation drilling commenced in early May, 2008 and 15 holes were completed. Ground gravity surveys were completed over previously identified magnetic targets that had been previously drilled and which had returned high indicator mineral recoveries. Sample processing results have presented a full suite of kimberlite indicator minerals. Interpretation of the abundances, types and compositions of these grains has helped further constrain the inferred source area for the Omatako heavy mineral anomaly.

AK6 Diamond
Botswana

The AK-6 project is an advanced diamond development project located in the Orapa district of Botswana, the largest diamond producing region in the world. The acquisition of the De Beers interest in AK-6 was completed on December 17, 2009.

Mothae Diamond
Lesotho

Mothae Diamond Bulk Sample Project, 1 licence, 24.7km2 (100% interest). A 100,000 tonne bulk sample program has been completed yielding 8,886 diamonds weighing 3,867.04 carats at an average dry grade of 4.70 cpht. Diamonds recovered from the bulk sample include 217 stones greater than 2 carats, 63 stones greater than 5 carats, 13 stones greater than 10 carats, and 5 stones greater than 20 carats. The five largest diamonds weigh 24.60, 23.39, 22.71, 22.62 and 20.04 carats. A formal valuation of recovered diamonds is planned for Q3.
